Shenzhen Futian Third People's Hospital is a public secondary hospital directly under the Futian District Health Bureau, and a specialized prevention and treatment institution for chronic diseases and mental health. The hospital originated from the merger of the Futian Station for Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment and Xinsha Hospital in 2001, forming the Shenzhen Futian Center for Chronic Disease Control. In June 2025, approved by municipal and district institutional authorities, it was officially renamed Shenzhen Futian Third People's Hospital (Shenzhen Futian Center for Chronic Disease Control、Shenzhen Futian Center for Mental Health).The hospital currently serves as the Vice Chair unit of the Expert Committee of the Shenzhen Mental Disease Quality Control Center, the Chair unit of the Futian Clinical Psychology, Dermatology & Venereology, and Medical Aesthetics Quality Control Centers, the Chair unit of the Psychological, Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management Committee of the Shenzhen Health Management Association, with its Clinical Psychology Department being a key clinical specialty in Futian District.

The hospital's new building has a total floor area of approximately 27,100 square meters, with 22 stories above ground and 3 stories underground. The hospital currently has over 10 clinical and technical departments including the Clinical Psychological Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Chronic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center,Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Dermatology Department, Stomatology Department, and Health Management Department, alongside public health prevention and treatment departments. It has 85 authorized inpatient beds. The hospital employs over 200 staff, including 5 Futian District-level Talents, 2 Class-II Practical Talents, and 3 Class-I Urgently Needed Talents of the Futian Health System.The hospital engages in comprehensive cooperation with prestigious domestic and international universities, designated as: Undergraduate Internship Teaching Base of the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University; Practice Teaching Base of the West China School of Public Health, Sichuan University;Off-campus Internship Base of Shenzhen University.

The hospital offers numerous specialized diagnosis and treatment services, mainly including: pharmacological treatment, physical therapy, and psychological therapy for patients with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, and other mental health conditions; dental implant restoration, orthodontic treatment, maxillofacial surgical treatment; diagnosis and treatment of various refractory aesthetic dermatological conditions, such as Nevus of Ota, melasma, sensitive skin, traumatic scars, hair disorders, photoaging, and others.

Adhering to the integration of medical care and prevention, strengthening prevention through medical services and promoting medical services through prevention,the hospital is mainly responsible for comprehensive disease surveillance, prevention and control, clinical diagnosis and treatment, community guidance, and health promotion related to mental/psychological disorders and chronic diseases within its jurisdiction.It has received numerous honors including the National Chronic Disease Comprehensive Prevention and Control Demonstration Zone "Dynamic Management" Advanced Unit and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases Lifestyle Medicine Alliance Accredited Center. It is one of the five Advanced Units for Leprosy Prevention and Treatment in Guangdong Province and the only district-level institution among them, and has been recognized as a first-batch alliance member of the "National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases".
