Shenzhen Futian Third People's Hospital is a public secondary hospital directly under the Futian District Health Bureau, and a specialized prevention and treatment institution for chronic diseases and mental health. The hospital originated from the merger of the Futian Station for Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment and Xinsha Hospital in 2001, forming the Shenzhen Futian Center for Chronic Disease Control. In June 2025, approved by municipal and district institutional authorities, it was officially renamed Shenzhen Futian Third People's Hospital (Shenzhen Futian Center for Chronic Disease Control、Shenzhen Futian Center for Mental Health).
The hospital currently serves as the Vice Chair unit of the Expert Committee of the Shenzhen Mental Disease Quality Control Center, the Chair unit of the Futian Clinical Psychology, Dermatology & Venereology, and Medical Aesthetics Quality Control Centers, the Chair unit of the Psychological, Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management Committee of the Shenzhen Health Management Association, with its Clinical Psychology Department being a key clinical specialty in Futian District.
The hospital employs over 200 staff, including 5 Futian District-level Talents, 2 Class-II Practical Talents, and 3 Class-I Urgently Needed Talents of the Futian Health System.The hospital engages in comprehensive cooperation with prestigious domestic and international universities, designated as: Undergraduate Internship Teaching Base of the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University; Practice Teaching Base of the West China School of Public Health, Sichuan University;Off-campus Internship Base of Shenzhen University.
